'Your heart must be bursting with pride.'

'Loose Women' viewers have heaped praise on Kerry Katona's daughters, after they spoke candidly about what it's like to live with a mother who suffers with mental health issues.

Molly and Lily appeared on the ITV daytime show alongside Kerry on Wednesday (11 May), as the Atomic Kitten rejoined the show as a panellist after 12 years.

As part of the show's mental health campaign 'Lighten The Load', the teenagers opened up about how they have supported Kerry's battle with depression and bipolar disorder.

As Lily told viewers of how passionate she was about breaking down stigma around mental health, she revealed she'd had counselling after Kerry split from third husband George Kay last year.

"Especially now that we're older we understand it a lot more. Quite frankly it's something that you shouldn't be ashamed of," she explained.

"I took counselling, especially when George left and mum's mood changes. It was really difficult because George was my best friend in times when mum would spend four or five days in her room upset."

Kerry also broke down in tears as Molly told Coleen Nolan, Sherrie Hewson and Gloria Hunniford how she and her sister help Kerry parent their three younger siblings when she is not feeling well.

The emotional interview attracted plenty of comment on Twitter, with users praising the mature teens.

Kerry originally served as a ‘Loose Women’ panellist between 2003 and 2004, and has returned as a guest on several occasions, including a recent appearance where she revealed details of her split from George.

The star previously admitted she was chasing a permenent return to ‘Loose Women’, telling the Daily Star she wanted to sit alongside pal Katie Price on the panel.

'Loose Women' airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
