‘Emmerdale’ writer Sharon Marshall has teased some upcoming episodes, revealing that the cast have just filmed some explosive scenes, due to air later this year.

Sharon - who is also This Morning’s resident soap expert - spilled the beans on Tuesday morning, explaining the lengths the team have gone to in order to make sure viewers aren’t left disappointed.

She said: “‘Emmerdale actually found an unused tank factory from the Cold War, replicated the set, built it up, just so they could blow it up.

"I can say that one of the villagers puts other people in danger. But they literally built an exact replica so they can build it up without anyone seeing it."

There’s no word yet on who will be left in danger, but earlier this year, producer Iain MacLeod teased a “sort of stunt-y sequence in June” that will involve Priya, Rakesh, Lawrence and Nicola.

Over the years, the ‘Emmerdale’ village has seen plenty of drama, including last year’s helicopter crash, caused by Chrissie White.
