'Big Brother' 2016: Bosses Tease 'Unpredictable' And 'Ominous' New Series

'Housemates will be under attack from an unseen ominous dark force.'

'Big Brother' bosses have released the first exciting details about this year's series, and it looks set to be an explosive one.

Producers have warned that housemates should be prepared for "paranoia and suspicion", when the Channel 5 reality show returns next month.

Teasing the new series, a press release issued by the show read: "'Big Brother' is back with an unpredictable new series. From day one, the housemates will be under attack from an unseen ominous dark force that will have a dramatic and divisive effect on the house.

"Whilst things may appear to be straight forward Big Brother will ensure that no-one will have the entire picture. There may even be deeper connections at work?

"The housemates are not alone and they should be prepared for paranoia and suspicion."

The 'Big Brother' house has also undergone a massive overhaul, after a 700 sq metre extension was added to the compound.

The interior has been transformed into a "slick, stark monochrome world", but it certainly won't be a case of black and white for the residents.

"Viewers should prepare for a ‘yin and yang’ style force to evolve Big Brother for a new generation," a spokesperson said. "This force will affect the Housemates for better or for worse."

The news was also released alongside a new image of presenter Emma Willis and 'Big On The Side' host Rylan Clark-Neal, who will return to present the week-nightly spin-off show.

While a launch date for the show is yet to be confirmed, it will return at some point next month.
