Carla Connor’s wedding was nothing short of a total disaster in ‘Coronation Street’, and in the coming episodes, viewers will see her leave Weatherfield for good.
Alison King, who has played Carla for 10 years, announced her intention to leave the soap earlier this year, but bosses had been keeping tight-lipped on whether she’d get a happy ending.
Sadly, it wasn’t meant to be and in Wednesday’s (25 May) episode, Carla made a shocking decision, hurtling towards Tracy Barlow in her car, and causing a giant crash.
When Carla swerved to avoid her nemesis at the last minute, she instead hurtled towards the shop, and potentially destroyed her friendship with Roy by mowing down Cathy.
Meanwhile, Tyrone was also caught up in the crash, and his van hurtled straight into the Platt family annex. Yes, the annex that has a body buried underneath it…
With all of her bridges burnt, Carla packs her bags and says farewell to her dad Johnny, but can Roy forgive her before she leaves?
