AQA Chemistry 2016 Exam Puzzles Students With 'Physics' Question

'Well, that was a joke.'

Friday's AS-level chemistry exam had students believing they were sitting a physics paper instead.

Post-exam Twitter was lit, as sixth formers took to social media en masse to console each other and complain.

Although it's true the two branches of science share the study of matter, students were still perplexed, and more than a little annoyed their preferred topics didn't appear.

The test just wasn't what people needed right now.

The pun game was strong.

'All I could say was add water and shake'.

Last week, students reacted with utter dismay after their AS-level Maths exam left them confused and more than a little irritated.

Some even declared the paper had “destroyed” their future.

At the time, Pearson Edexcel said: “With every paper there there will always be questions that some students find difficult, which is often reflected in social media comment.”

Previously AQA said: "Exams aren't meant to be easy."
