'Strictly Come Dancing' 2016 First Celebrity Contestant 'Is Angelica Bell'

The 14th season of 'Strictly Come Dancing' will soon be upon us.

'Strictly Come Dancing' will be back on our screens in a few months, and already speculation is mounting as to which celebrities will be taking to the dance floor.

The Sun reports that the show chiefs have already recruited their first high-kicking star, with presenter Angelica Bell signed up to take part in the 14th series of the show later this year.

If true, the 'The One Show' presenter will be following in the family tradition of reality shows. Her husband, TV presenter Michael Underwood, previously participated in ‘Dancing on Ice’, but was forced to withdraw early in the 2008 series with a broken ankle.

It’s a busy time for Angelica, with the former CBBC presenter also taking part in Channel 5’s ‘Tour De Celeb’, which sees familiar faces attempting to cycle up the treacherous L’tape du Tour in France.

The BBC’s own presenters have a favourable history when it comes to ‘Strictly’ - Natasha Kaplinsky, Caroline Flack and Chris Hollins all collected the victor’s glitter ball trophy when they took part.

Other big names have already been mooted for ‘Strictly’ 2016, including 'Downton Abbey' actress Michelle Dockery, and US singer Anastasia. More names here... Tap the first picture below to open the slideshow:
