The most popular baby names in Ireland were revealed at the beginning of 2016, with Emily and Daniel taking the top spots.

However recent figures released by the Central Statistics Office in Ireland have shown that popularity varies by county.

In 2015, Jack was a popular name for boys throughout Ireland, as were Emily and Emma for girls.
