In scenes to air on tonight’s (12 July) edition of the Channel 5 reality show, the housemates divide themselves into two teams, and they are then told they must deliberate about who they would like to target next.

However, they are unaware that their target will be given the chance to gain immunity.

One group pick Jayne Connery to target, while the other batch of contestants chose Andy.

As Big Brother gathers them in the deliberation room, the groups are informed they must now give immunity to one of the two targeted housemates.

The housemates deliberate as Andy and Jayne tensely watch on from the sofas.

They eventually decide to grant immunity for the rest of the week to Andy, who has an emotional response to their decision.

“It’s fine, you deserve it!” Jayne tells him.

Speaking about escaping the axe in the Diary Room, Alex says to Big Brother: “It’s a huge relief! I’ve never been afraid of saying things that other people don’t like.

“I feel like the dynamic around me in the house is changing…I can be seen as a force to be reckoned with.”

‘Big Brother’ continues tonight at 9pm on Channel 5.
