When Does 'Celebrity Big Brother' 2016 Start? Line-Up Rumours And Everything Else You Need To Know

A new series of the reality show is HERE!

It may only be a few months since Scotty T was crowned the latest ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ winner, but another series is upon us.

While the ‘BB’ house is currently occupied by a bunch of regular housemates, they are vacating the premises tonight (26 July) so that a new raft of famous faces can move in.

As anticipation builds for the 18th series of the Channel 5 reality show, here is everything we know about it so far...

When does ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ start?

Channel 5 have announced the new series will kick off on 28 July at 9pm - just two days after the current civilian run holds its grand finale. We will be locked to our TV screens.

Who is presenting?

Channel 5

As ever, Emma Willis is back on hosting duties, fresh from her latest stint as the master of ceremonies on the regular series. She’ll be on hand to welcome the new housemates on launch night, as well as fronting the eviction shows and live final.

What about ‘Bit On The Side’?

Despite recently landing the job of hosting the new series of ‘The Xtra Factor’, Rylan Clark-Neal will still be presenting the popular ‘CBB’ spin-off. The show is currently airing every week night from 11pm during the normal series, and this is expected to continue for the celebrity run.

What is the eye like?

Channel 5

The eye has been given a slight redesign from this year’s summer series, with the addition of a star in the middle.

Who will the housemates be?

PA

As is ‘CBB’ tradition, the identity of those entering the Borehamwood bungalow will remain a secret until they are unveiled on launch night, but that hasn’t stopped speculation about who they might be.

The latest rumours have included 80s popstar Samantha Fox, national treasure Christopher Biggins, ‘Gogglebox’ pair Steven Webb and Chris Steed, ‘Mob Wives’ cast member Renee Graziano, former ‘X Factor’ rejects Chloe Mafia and Katie Waissel, TOWIE’s Lewis Bloor, ‘Geordie Shore’ star Marine Simpson, Anthea Turner’s ex-husband Grant Bovey, singer David Cassidy, rapper Lil Kim and Ben Innes, best known for taking a photo with a plane hijacker on an EgyptAir plane.

It’s also been suggested former ‘I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!’ contestants Spencer Matthews and Lady Colin Campbell could take part, although those reports are looking unlikely.

A spokesperson for Channel 5 added: “The identities of the Housemates are top secret, but we can confirm there will be egos, drama, tantrums and diva strops.”

What is the house like?

Channel 5

The house has just undergone a radical overhaul for the current civilian series, including the addition of a whole second house. However, it is not known if this will be utilised for ‘CBB’.

The compound is expected to undergo a few minor tweaks before the celebs move in, like the cameras being removed from the toilets. We expect it will also need a good clean after the housemates move out too.

A ‘BB’ spokesperson teased: “The BB House has been given a glamorous make-over for our brand new celebrity Housemates, but they shouldn’t make themselves too much at home, because despite the shiny new look of the house they must remember, all that glitters is not gold!”
