England World Cup 50th Anniversary: Here Are The Sporting Moments That Make Us Proud To be English

From record-breaker to underdogs, we've got plenty to be proud of.

Saturday marks half a century since England’s proudest football moment: winning the 1966 World Cup.

Skipper Bobby Moore lifted the Jules Rimet trophy at Wembley after a hard-fought campaign culminated in a win against West Germany in the final on 30 July.

The Football Association will be holding a celebration on Saturday at the SSE Arena at Wembley to celebrate this milestone where the win will be recounted minute-by-minute through current reflections and historic footage.
