James Corden has had great success with his Carpool Karaoke videos since his career took a Transatlantic turn last year, but it turns out there’s one star he still can’t get to take a spin.
So far, James has had a host of A-list stars in his passenger seat on the ‘Late Late Show’ segment, but it seems Kanye West is simply too busy to take part.
Revealing how Kanye has proved impossible to pin down, James told GQ: “Kanye has been booked to do Carpool Karaoke twice now but both times something came up. He’ll do it eventually... He wants to do it.”
He did go on to reveal that Kanye sent him some amazing flowers in the shape of a cube as an apology gift (which actually sounds an awful lot like the present he sent Taylor Swift back when they were still speaking to each other).
James went on to reveal that there is one big name in particular that he’s currently working on getting to appear in a Carpool Karaoke sketch, continuing: “[Beyoncé] would break the internet. She’s on tour right now. We’re working on it.”
‘Carpool Karaoke’ has become one of the stand-out features of James’ US talk show, which he took the helm of last year.
Mariah Carey was the first celebrity to take part in the recurring sketch, with Justin Bieber, Adele and even First Lady Michelle Obama among the stars putting in later appearances.
