A police spokeswoman said that a “number of children” were being treated by paramedics and that the air ambulance was also in attendance.

The Mirror quoted a South West Ambulance Service spokeswoman as saying three children had been injured.

One was treated at the scene, while the other two were taken to Poole Hospital after suffering from “neck pain”, she said.

The spokeswoman added: “There is nothing to suggest their injuries are serious.”
