Christopher Biggins' Celebrity Big Brother Removal Came After Concentration Camp Joke, Report Claims

He was chucked off the reality show on Friday.

Christopher Biggins was removed from the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house after making a joke about Nazi concentration camps, a report has claimed.

The star was thrown off the Channel 5 reality show on Friday (6 August), after making a series of comments a spokesperson described as being “capable of causing great offence to housemates and the viewing public”.

The Daily Star has now alleged Biggins was shown the door after he made a comment about extermination camps in front of Jewish housemate Katie Waissel, who was reportedly reduced to tears.

The paper also claimed Christopher made the remark earlier in the week, but producers decided against airing it at the time.

A Channel 5 spokesperson declined to comment further on the matter when approached by HuffPost UK.

They said in a previous statement: “Big Brother has taken the decision to remove Christopher Biggins from the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.

“Since entering ‘Big Brother’, he has made a number of comments capable of causing great offence to housemates and the viewing public.

“Big Brother does not tolerate offensive language capable of causing widespread offence. Christopher Biggins has left the house.”

Biggins was caught up in a storm earlier in the week when viewers slammed him for comments he made about bisexual people during a conversation with fellow housemate Renee Graziano.

“I think the worst type though, I’m afraid to say, is the bisexuals,” he said.

“What it is, is people not wanting to admit they’re gay… be honest, that’s what you’ve got to be.”

Biggins’ agent has since spoken out to defend the star following his removal, he would “never intentionally cause offence”.

The events leading up to Biggins’ exit will air on Saturday’s episode of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ at 10.30pm on Channel 5.
