‘Line Of Duty’ Series 4: Thandie Newton To Star As Guest Lead

Filming begins in Belfast in September.

Thandie Newton has signed up to star in the fourth series of ‘Line Of Duty’, it has been announced.

The Hollywood actress will be joining returning stars Vicky McClure, Martin Compston, and Adrian Dunbar when filming begins in Belfast next month.

Thandie has shared her joy at landing the role, stating: “I watched the last three seasons of ‘Line of Duty’ with breathless admiration for its creators, both behind and in front of the camera.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to be joining them now.”

Her new co-star Vicky McClure adds: “Such exciting news to have Thandie on board. I’m really looking forward to working with her and getting back to Belfast with the team.”

Thandie will play AC-12 antagonist DCI Roz Huntley, who is tackling case Operation Trapdoor with her team.

The third series of ‘Line Of Duty’ was praised by critics and fans alike, ending with two super-tense interrogation scenes, that over five million viewers tuned in to watch.
