Bexley School Fight Sees Huge Group Of Teenagers In Mass Brawl In Northumberland Heath

Police in Erith forced to break up huge South London fight.

A disturbing mass brawl involving dozens of schoolchildren has been caught on video in Northumberland Heath, Bexley.

Two people were taken to hospital after the fight, during which brawlers could be seen kicking, punching and appearing to strike each other with sticks.

According to the BBC, there were reports of as many as 100 schoolchildren involved in the altercation.

One witness, who wished to remain anonymous, told the Evening Standard: “It was just scary. It was school kids, basically, all in their uniforms, with hoods up and lots with their faces covered up. Some had knives and bats and who knows what.

“There were a hell of a lot of people very concerned about it. People were out there with their children and dog walkers who didn’t know which way to go.”

Police in Erith, South London, arrived at the scene at 5.40pm on Monday evening and ambulances were also called.

According to the police, “around seven males” were arrested.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said police were called to reports of a “large fight between a group of youths” at Northumberland Heath about 5.40pm.

“Officers from the borough and the Met’s Territorial Support Group (TSG) were called to the scene.

“Two individuals suffered non-life threatening injuries (we await a breakdown).

“They were taken to a south London hospital by London Ambulance Service to be treated for their injuries.

“Around seven males, aged between 15 and 21 years, were arrested and taken to south London police stations.”
