Startup Uses Science To Make Cow's Milk Without The Cows

A truly moovellous idea.

One Silicon Valley startup is making it just that little bit easier to lead a vegan or lactose-free lifestyle.

California-based entrepreneurs Ryan Pandya and Perumal Gandhi are synthesising cow’s milk in a lab without any cows.

Instead, the pair are 3D printing the critical proteins, and claim their milk is more nutritious, safe, and sustainable than normal dairy as a result.

But they’re not just about milk. Perfect Day says their product can also be used to create cheese, yoghurt, icecream and pizza.

Investors have already pumped $4 million into the business. We think it sounds truly moovellous.
