Remember when Kelly Rowland found out Frankie Cocozza had been dropped from ‘X Factor’, midway through a TV interview?
Well it’s happened again, only this time it’s George Clooney on camera, discovering that his friends Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are getting a divorce.
George was at the United Nations, when a brave CNN reporter decided to broach the topic, and it soon became apparent that the actor-turned-activist had no idea his pals had split.
“I didn’t know that. I feel very sorry then,” he replied. “That’s a sad story and unfortunate for a family.
“It’s an unfortunate story about a family. I feel very sorry to hear that. That’s the first I’ve heard of it.”
News of the divorce broke on Tuesday (20 August) evening, when Angelina’s lawyers confirmed that she had filed papers at an LA courthouse.
Brad’s statement then followed the next morning, and it’s safe to say fans of the couple have struggled to digest what’s going on.
Among them is global superstar Adele, who took a moment to discuss the matter during her Madison Square Gardens gig on Tuesday, telling the crowd that the split marks the “end of an era”.
