Personal Trainer Posts Photo Of Stomach Rolls On Instagram To Inspire Body Confidence

'Don’t stress about the way your body looks in certain positions.'

A personal trainer has told the world not be ashamed of their stomach rolls by posting candid side by side photos on Instagram.

Jen Widerstrom, who works as a trainer on US weight loss programme ‘The Biggest Loser’, posted the two photos of herself along with the caption: “We all look like this when we sit. Don’t stress about the way your body looks in certain positions.

“These photos were taken two minutes apart! #noedits.”

Widerstrom, from Chicago, was inspired to take the photos after feeling insecure about her body.

“I was recently doing a photoshoot and feeling great about the day, yet I looked down and saw my stomach and immediately got insecure,” she told People magazine.

“I started to get in my head and really down on myself for my body. Even glammed up and in amazing clothes, I experience these thoughts – it’s normal!”

To avoid becoming overwhelmed by these thoughts, she decided to “redirect” her energy into something positive.

“I stood up to take a new picture. I put a stop to my unreasonable remarks by showing myself the truth and reminding myself what a healthy, full-bodied woman I am, and how that’s beautiful.”

On Instagram, Widerstrom also thanked fellow body coach Emily Skye for being her inspiration and friend.

Skye recently posted a video online to demonstrate how changing your posture can affect the way you look, especially in photos.

The moral of the story? Even super fit Instagram stars feel insecure from time to time.

Don’t believe everything you see on social media - a “good angle” can make all the difference.
