‘X Factor’ 2016 Live Shows: Contestants’ Week One Song Choices Revealed

Who's taking on 'Let It Go' in week one?

The ‘X Factor’ 2016 live shows kick off this weekend, and ahead of the big day, bosses have revealed the tracks some of the hopefuls will be signing.

Nobody wants to go in the first week, so as you’d expect, the contestants are bringing their A-game.

So far, one act from each category has announced their song choice, starting with Emily Middlemas, who will perform Britney Spears’ ‘Toxic’.

Ryan Lawrie is hoping to delight viewers with a rendition of ‘Perfect’, by former ‘X Factor’ contestants One Direction, while Saara Alto is giving herself a huge task, in taking on ‘Let It Go’ from ‘Frozen’.

The Brooks Brothers will cover DNCE’s ‘Cake By The Ocean’. Well, unless Louis Walsh pulls a Louis Walsh and changes his mind on that at the last minute.

A total of 12 acts will perform on Saturday, before one leaves the competition on Sunday.

The current series hasn’t been without its controversies so far, with viewers slamming the judges for giving “novelty acts” Honey G and Bradley & Ottavio a place in the love shows last weekend.
