'X Factor': Honey G And Saara Alto Steal The Spotlight In Live Shows (For Very Different Reasons)

'H to the O to the N to the E to the Y to the G.'

Honey G made her ‘X Factor’ live shows debut on Saturday (8 October) night, with a performance every bit as ridiculous as you can probably expect.

Defying her haters, Honey G hit the stage in a gold tracksuit to perform the Tupac and Dr Dre rap classic ‘California Love’.

She couldn’t resist putting her own spin on the track, though, throwing in some “H to the O the N to the E to the Y to the G” and, of course, “when I say Honey, you say G”, which will surely be the catchphrase that ‘X Factor’ 2016 becomes best remembered for.

Her mentor, Sharon Osbourne, was suitably impressed with her efforts, as was Louis Walsh, who was met with a huge laugh from the audience when he said that Tupac “would be happy” with the performance, only for Mrs O to politely remind him that Tupac has been dead for the past 20 years.

Nicole Scherzinger was slightly more critical, telling her she suspected Tupac was “turning over in his grave”.

On a slightly more serious note was Saara Aalto, who was praised for her “outstanding” performance of ‘Let It Go’ from Disney’s ‘Frozen’ by Simon Cowell.

Sharon told her act: “ It’s amazing how much you have progressed. Where did that voice come from? Why were you hiding it at the auditions?”

One act viewers didn’t get to see, however, was Brooks Way, whose performance was canned at the last minute.

See who manages to win over the public in Sunday (9 October) night’s ‘X Factor’ results show.
