Ola Jordan Blasts 'Strictly Come Dancing' Professionals For Starting 'Rivalries'

Former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star Ola Jordan has hit out at newer additions to the professional line-up, accusing them of instating rivalries.

Ola, who has blasted various aspects of the show since her departure last year, launched a fresh attack on some of her former co-stars in an interview with The Mirror.

“The new dancers come in wanting to prove themselves and no one can blame them for that, but it can cause problems,” she said.

“I got to the point where I just couldn’t bring myself to be involved in any rivalry, other things were more important.”

The dancer, who is also married to the similarly outspoken former ‘Strictly’ pro James Jordan, also claimed show bosses tried to force stars into changing their appearance, but Ola refused.

“When I heard that was happening, I told them there was no way I was dyeing my hair,” she said.

“Luckily I had been in the show for a long time so they wouldn’t try to change how I look. It only happened with the new dancers.”

During Ola’s time on ‘Strictly’, she had a famous feud with Karen Hauer, after she joined the line-up in 2012.

After a fight during the 2013 series, Ola’s spokesperson released a statement, which read: “On Monday 28th October, Karen Hauer verbally attacked Ola during group pro training. Ola continued with her training as she couldn’t let her partner Ashley [Taylor Dawson] or the show down.”

She also dodged a question when asked if they had repaired their relationship in a Daily Mail interview the following year.

The current series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ continues on Saturday on BBC One.
