Emma Barton is currently harbouring a huge secret in ‘Emmerdale’, but it looks like she could be forced to admit her role in James’s death and the huge car crash that occurred in last week’s episodes.
At present, nobody knows Emma pushed James off the bridge and onto the road after an argument, but she’ll be faced with a huge challenge, when the police arrive.
How much do they know about her role in the accident? And can she hold it together?
Friday’s episode saw two characters appearing to inch closer to the true, including Pete Barton, who was confused about why James was near the road, when he was supposed to be on bedrest.
Ashley Thomas - whose car James fell onto - is currently struggling to remember what happened, but when he bumped into Emma, it seemed as though he might come close to recalling the events.
The coming episodes of the soap will see the village attempt to come to terms with the catastrophic events, and Aaron Dingle and Rhona Goskirk were both seen in serious conditions in hospital, before the flash-forward to James’s funeral.
The death of Bill Ward’s character came as a shock to many fans, and the actor has now revealed what life after soaps holds for him.
