Nine-Year-Old's Heartbreaking Rendition Of Adele's 'Hello' In Memory Of Her Dad Who Died

'I think daddy can hear me from the other side.'

A nine-year-old girl sung a heartbreaking cover of Adele’s ‘Hello’ because she felt the lyrics matched how she felt about her dad who died.

Sadiella Shroyer, from the US, filmed herself singing the popular ballad giving her own meaning to the touching words: “Hello from the other side”.

Her mum, Amy Shroyer, shared the video on Instagram and explained it was a song Sadiella sung many times after her dad’s death near the end of last year.

”This song became popular about the time we lost Mike,” Shroyer wrote on Instagram. “Sadiella would sing it over and over in her room, and I asked her one time why she liked this song so much.

“Her response: ‘I think daddy can hear me from the other side, and I’m sorry for everything I ever did that was wrong.’

“Broke. My. Heart. Still... she loves this song, even if the rest of the world is tired of it. I really, really love this girl.”

Sadiella’s dad, Mike Shroyer, died in December 2015 from an “unexplained obstruction”. Doctors could not find a diagnosis and after 11 days in hospital, he went into cardiac arrest and died.

He was also dad to 13-year-old J. Michael.

When asked what she misses most about her dad, Sadiella told Babble: “That he would always hold me and snuggle with me when mummy was gone and I couldn’t sleep.”

“Your daughter has an amazing talent, what a beautiful tribute,” one person commented.

Another added: “This gave me goosebumps! She is a truly talented young girl.”
