‘Great British Bake Off’ fans will be experiencing mixed feelings this morning, following the last ever ‘Bake Off’ final on the BBC.
But all is not lost, and we’d like to take this chance to remind everyone that the hit show hasn’t technically left the Beeb just yet, as there are still two Christmas episodes to come.
Two yuletide episodes, first rumoured back in July, have now been confirmed and all four of the team - Mary Berry, Paul Hollywood, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins - will be back in the tent for some festive fun.
Each episode will see four bakers from past series return, to face three Christmas baking challenges.
The exact air dates for them will be confirmed later this year.
In the meantime, we’re going to just sit here and pray that someone hears Twitter’s pleas, and commissions a camera crew to follow this year’s ‘Bake Off’ gang on the holiday to Ayia Napa that Val is planning for them. It. Needs. To. Happen.
