Pardeep Kaur Murder Probe Sees Police Release CCTV Images Of Victim A Day Before She Disappeared

'Key Line' of enquiry is that Kaur was attacked by a stranger.

Police investigating the killing of a woman whose body was found dumped under a flyover in west London have released CCTV of the victim walking home the day before she went missing.

Pardeep Kaur disappeared on October 17 after she had set off for work at around 6.10am and a “key line of inquiry” for police is that she was attacked by a stranger.

The 30-year-old’s body was found the following weekend. The remains were concealed in waste ground underneath the Harlington High Street flyover in Hayes, west London, near her usual route to the hotel at which she worked.

A post-mortem examination into her death conducted on Tuesday was inconclusive and further tests are awaited, police said.

The images issued by detectives show her walking back the day before she vanished - wearing the same clothes and carrying the same handbag.

Officers said they were keen to locate the bag.

Detective Inspector Jamie Stevenson said police had carried out extensive CCTV and house-to-house inquiries piecing together information about Pardeep’s last known movements.

He said Kaur left home to head to work at a nearby hotel at about 6.10am but “she never arrived at work”. Her body was later recovered “very near to a route she took to work”.

“A key line of inquiry for this investigation continues to be that Pardeep was attacked by a stranger on her walk to work that morning and, sadly, was most likely murdered before she was reported missing,” Stevenson said.

“I am appealing to local residents who live near by the wasteland, or specifically in the areas of Carlton Avenue and Bedwell Gardens.

“We are releasing a CCTV still showing Pardeep on her way home from work on Sunday, 16 October - the day before she went missing.

“It shows her wearing the same clothing and carrying the same handbag that she had on the morning she went missing.

“We have yet to find Pardeep’s handbag - it was a black shoulder bag - and I would like to hear from anyone who has found a discarded handbag matching that description abandoned in the street or in their garden.”
