University Challenge Musicals Round Leaves Fans Feeling Fabulously Brainy

There are few occasions on University Challenge that give viewers the chance to feel brainy.

But when Jeremy Paxman fired a musicals round at contestants from Durham University, even the most average among us got the opportunity to show off our genius.

Contestants were played clips of songs and asked which Tony-Award winning musical they were from, with South Pacific, Hairspray and Sweeney Todd all guessed correctly.

Needless to say, fans were pretty excited about it.

Admittedly, the streak ended when Paxman started asking questions that could be answered in English or Latin (thanks for that one, Jezza).

But you never know, maybe there will a Beyonce round next week?
