Bonfire Night is fast approaching, meaning it’s time to start planning where you’ll be spending Saturday (or Friday) night.

With a wide range of fireworks displays happening across the capital this year, Londoners are spoilt for choice.

Here, we’ve rounded up 12 places to watch the displays - including free, ticketed and alternative events.

Free Events

Victoria Park

Last year, Victoria Park’s fireworks display returned after a five-year hiatus. This year they’re back again with a bang, this time depicting the Great Fire of London.

Price: Free
Date: 6 November
Time: 7pm (but food stalls open at 6pm)

Blackheath

This fireworks display often draws in the crowds, with as many as 100,000 people turn up each year - so it must be good.

Time: 8pm (but food stalls open at 5pm)

Primrose Hill + Hampstead Heath

Both places are high up, with glorious views of London, and they are free to attend! Just make sure you wrap up warm, as temperatures will be around 6°C on Saturday night.

Alexandra Palace

Alexandra Palace is famed for its epic firework displays - and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Price: £11 for adults / £8.50 for children aged 11-15
Date: 4-5 November
Time: 9pm (on 4 Nov) and 8pm (on 5 Nov)

Wimbledon Park

There are two themed performances at each venue: 6.45pm ‘Magic’ (more suitable for young children) and 8.30pm ‘All Around the World’, plus funfair, refreshments and stalls open until 10pm.

Morden Park

Exactly the same set-up and timings as the firework display at Wimbledon park, but on a different day.

Ravenscourt Park

If you’re after a family event, take the kids to Ravenscourt Park firework show - which features a funfair and two fantastic firework displays. The children’s fireworks start at 7.15pm, while the main fireworks begin at 8.10pm.

Battersea Park

The Battersea Park Fireworks display is set to ‘music by legends’. It’s set to be a great night for families and friends, with lots of entertainment and fun.

Aqua Shard

The bar at the top of the Shard has spectacular views across the city. It’s the place to be if you want to watch the fireworks in a warm, stylish environment.
