The charity hase pledged to collect 15,000 coats and will distribute them at homeless shelters, refugee centres, elderly organisations, women’s refuges and children’s centres.

”More than 8,000 people have slept rough on London’s streets throughout 2015 and 2016, and many thousands more continue to live in crisis,” Hands On London CEO Jon Meech said of the reasons for starting the campaign.

“The winter months can be the toughest for vulnerable people across the city, but it doesn’t have to be this way.

“Wrap Up London shows the power Londoners have when they come together as a community with a simple act of kindness.”
