Sophie Austin has given birth to her first child with Shayne Ward.
Ward announced the news with a tweet and shared their choice of baby name for their daughter.
“Proud to share our incredible news,” the ‘Coronation Street’ star wrote on Saturday 3 December.
“Me and Sophie had a beautiful baby girl.
“We are completely besotted and in love with the deepest of hearts.
“Our World. Willow May Ward.”
On Sunday Ward responded to well wishes on Twitter.
“Thank you all so much for the beautiful messages. Mummy and baby are doing great,” he wrote.
“Right... Time to do my Fatherly duties #DiaperchangeKing.”
The couple received many congratulatory messages from other soap stars including Jacqueline Jossa, Catherine Tyldesley and Sair Khan.
The couple have yet to share a photo of their newborn, however the former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress did share the quote below on Instagram with the caption: “Complete ❤️”
Six days earlier Austin shared a photo of Ward putting together a cot for their “little pudding”.
According to The Huffington Post UK’s baby name generator, Willow means “graceful” - like the graceful branches and leaves of a Willow tree.
