'Strictly Come Dancing': Ed Balls Returns For Grand Final, And He Definitely Didn't Disappoint

It wouldn't have been the 'Strictly' final without a bit of 'Gangnam Style', right?

This year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ final had so many stand-out moments, from Len Goodman’s emotional farewell to Danny Mac’s dramatic showdance - and that’s without even mentioning Ore Oduba’s victory.

One thing we always look forward to, though, is seeing the former contestants from the series returning to the dance floor for one last time, and this year’s number definitely didn’t disappoint.

Of course, the moment everyone was looking forward to was Ed Balls’ dance floor comeback, as he reprised his most famous routine from earlier in the series, ‘Gangnam Style’.

And while we’d previously been teased by choreographer Neil Jones that we were in for something special, his appearance definitely didn’t disappoint, as he was joined by almost all the professionals during the routine.

‘Gangnam Style’ wasn’t the only part of the past contestants’ return we loved, though.

We were also pleased to see Tameka Empson getting a suitably fabulous entrance, being carried on in a giant gold throne, while Judge Rinder got to put on an energetic show set to S Club 7’s ‘Reach’.

Even Melvin Odoom, this year’s first star to be eliminated, got to have his moment in the spotlight, as he and professional partner Janette Manrara took centre stage at the beginning of the number.

Claudia Fragapane, on the other hand, got to show off some of her famous gymnastic skills as she backflipped across the ballroom, wowing all of us in the process.

It was ultimately Ore Oduba who stole the show in Saturday’s (17 December) show, though, unable to mask his shock and elation as he and partner Joanne Clifton discovered that they’d been crowned this year’s champions.
