When Channel 5 broadcasts the ‘Dirty Dirty’ remake on Sunday evening, there will be a couple of moments that die-hard fans will be looking out for especially.
Abigail Breslin and Colt Prattes have taken on the roles made famous by Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze in the hit classic film, Johny Castle and his dancing protegee Frances “Baby” Houseman. Yes, they do the famous water lift, and yes, he does defend her when the occasion requires, proclaiming: “Nobody puts baby in the corner.”

Other stars of the remake include Nicole Scherzinger, Debra Messing and Billy Dee Williams. Producers have made it their mission to keep all the feel-good nostalgia that made the film such a hit, while tapping into fresh contemporary issues, including gender roles, and divisions of class and race.
