My Day at London Fashion Weekend 2012

What's the one thing Fashion Week leaves behind when taking its flight to Milan? Somerset House. Even when the designers have packed down their collections and the super models stepped down from their high heels, the beautiful venue along the Thames stays put and doesn't even get a full week's rest.

What's the one thing Fashion Week leaves behind when taking its flight to Milan? Somerset House. Even when the designers have packed down their collections and the super models stepped down from their high heels, the beautiful venue along the Thames stays put and doesn't even get a full week's rest. The London Fashion Weekend started last Thursday and ended yesterday, enabling hundreds of Londoners to enjoy the catwalk fun and VIP experience.

(c/o This little lady went to London)

As well as getting to see an Autumn-Winter catwalk show - Friday was Issa, a beautiful collection of low waist skirts, geometric prints and primary colours - visitors could shop through the pop-up aisles of big names such as Marc Jacobs, Vivienne Westwood, Dolce & Gabana, Versace, Alexander Mcqueen... all available at ridiculous prices ! Leather with a price tag chopped in half, coats at less than 30% of their original price, designer shoes for £60 and samples sometimes even more affordable.

As a bonus, I met Gemma Cartwright from Catwalk Queen (left) as well as Laetitia Wajnapel from Mademoiselle Robot (right) who were giving tips on the dos and don'ts of blogging .

P.S. I managed to suss my craving for a new coat... OR TWO ! Coming soon on www.clonesnclowns.com !
