Alistair Burt MP was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office on 14 May 2010, with responsibilities for Afghanistan, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, Counter Terrorism, Counter Proliferation, North America, the Middle East and North Africa.
Alistair Burt entered Parliament for the first time in 1983 and is the Member of Parliament for North East Bedfordshire.
