Andrew Harrop is General Secretary of the Fabian Society. He was previously Director of Policy and Public Affairs for Age UK, where he led the charity's policy, public affairs, campaigns and events teams. He has previously worked for Age Concern, the New Policy Institute and Anne Campbell MP.

He has been a Labour Party activist since 18 and was a Parliamentary Candidate in the 2005 General Election.
