A lawyer by training, I hold an MBA from London Business School, and used to work as a compliance officer in one of the world's biggest too-big-to-fail banks.

Now for more than a decade I've been researching and writing on corporate responsibility issues for business publications and think tanks. Back in 2006 I produced some research that ranked the US banking system as the riskiest in the world, but having been one I struggle to see all bankers as evil.

I'm now working on Nothing Personal, a book exploring the role of financial technology in industrial disasters and the myth that undermines our political will to prevent further crises.
