After suffering with stress-related depression Ann chose to leave her job in the NHS to set up her own business and has never looked back. She is now a life coach and an expert in postnatal depression and tells her personal story in her book, Journey to Chocolate, which was published in 2011. Ann wrote Journey to Chocolate to inspire women to take the necessary steps so that they too can have the lives they want.

Ann’s professional life is spent helping women lead more fulfilling lives through her work as a coach with On The Threshold, and by offering individual advice by telephone as an expert with the help service Greatvine.

Ann is also a trustee for the Joe Bingley Memorial Foundation, which works to raise awareness and challenge the stigma of postnatal depression. As professional lead for health visiting, Ann contributed to developing best practice in this area and also co-wrote a chapter in a book about postnatal depression.
