As a Scot living in Berlin, I work with climate mitigation, as well as the social impacts of climate change, particularly climate change and migration. In my spare time I write articles to push for awareness on the little spoken about, but highly critical, looming issue of the global increase of border security, and what this will mean for climate change and migration. I have also written pieces on the global (border) security industry. Articles of mine have appeared in Opendemocracy, Statewatch and Forced Migration Review, and I am recently co-author to two chapters on the above mentioned issues. I have worked with refugees in different capacities over the years, from country research for asylum case appeals to providing integration support.
