Director of Communications and Policy at Hometeam

Ashish Prashar is the Director of Communications and Policy at Hometeam based out of New York City. Most recently he was a Senior Vice President at DKC News working primarily in the corporate, media and tech divisions. He lead media campaigns for the likes of Acorns, Andela, Foursquare, Klarna, Livestream, Pager and Hometeam, where he has now the Director of Communications and Policy. Prior to that Ashish was an Account Director at Mission PR and Head of Communications at Westbourne Communications, overseeing media campaigns for mophie, The Line, Battersea Power Station, Birmingham Airport and Hitachi. Ashish had also served the Head of Media Relations at Ipsos MORI and was a Communications and Public affairs Manager at the Royal Society of Arts. Previously, he had a lengthy career in UK politics where he worked for the Conservative Party, where he handled communications for three members of the Shadow Cabinet (including the current Prime Minister Theresa May). Other campaigns in his portfolio have included work for the Tony Blair and his Faith Foundation in Sierra Leone, acting as a Press Secretary to the Mayor of London: Boris Johnson during his 2008 election campaign and his re-election campaign in 2012 and worked on Barack Obama’s 2008 Presidential Campaign. Ashish is also a freelance writer for the Huffington Post and has interviewed the Mayor of London Boris Johnson, former Swedish Prime Minister Goran Persson and conducted a Q&A with the former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair. He graduated from the University of Westminster, London with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and happily resides in New York City.
