Bastien Vigneau

Unicef Regional Emergency Advisor

Bastien Vigneau is a Senior Humanitarian Officer who has been working with UNICEF since 2006.

Bastien was based in Nairobi, Kenya as an Emergency Officer in charge of coordinating the UNICEF humanitarian response in the region. He also became the Somali Chief of Office, in charge of the UNICEF team managing emergency challenges.

At the beginning of 2012, Bastien joined the UNICEF Regional Office for the Middle East and Northern Africa Region as a Senior Emergency Officer. Prior to these experiences, Bastien worked from 1993 as an Emergency Officer in several countries in Africa, South East Asia, and Latin America.

Bastien holds a Master’s degree in Humanitarian Action and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Studies. In 2012, Bastien made several missions to Syria in support of the UNICEF Syria country team’s work to increase assistance to Syrian children.
