Bathoul Ahmed

Has been working for UNHCR in Lebanon since early 2012

Bathoul Ahmed grew up in Sierra Leone and southeast England, and has been working for UNHCR since early 2012. Her time with the agency has coincided with one of UNHCR's biggest operations. In her role as a Public Information officer,Bathoul covers the Syria refugee crisis across the Middle East and the situation in Iraq. Her job is to act as a spokesperson, help explain the operations to donors, politicians and humanitarians. She says she is particularly interested in the stories behind the statistics and finding ways to "share their strength with the world."
