Ben Good is an engineer with 20 years’ experience in the renewable energy and utility sectors. He has undertaken a range of senior operational, commercial, financial, and corporate finance roles with various businesses and projects across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

Ben joined GVEP from D1 Oils plc, the UK-listed renewable energy business with interests in India and southern Africa, where he was CEO. He has a degree in Engineering, Economics and Management from Oxford University.

As It's Light Out in the West, Africa Needs Help to Switch On

On Saturday, 29th of March, many westerners switched off their lights to celebrate Earth Hour. The Big Ben, Times Square in New York and the Kremlin in Moscow were just a few of the iconic landmarks that joined millions of people who dimmed their lights to raise awareness about saving energy and reducing our carbon footprint.
