Carlos Miranda

CEO of I.G. Advisors, a philanthropy, CSR and fundraising strategy consultancy

Carlos Miranda is the Chief Executive and Founder of I.G. Advisors, a philanthropy and fundraising strategy consultancy. Before starting I.G., Carlos was the Managing Director of The Social Investment Consultancy, a consultancy working with funders and fundraisers. Among the firm’s clients were The John Lewis Foundation and Standard Chartered Bank. Prior to TSIC, Carlos was the Head of Business Development at Global Philanthropic, a fundraising consultancy, where he advised clients including the United Nations Foundation and the London School of Economics. Carlos started his career as a Manager of Major Gifts at the New York Public Library, where he helped raised over $25 million.

Carlos is also the Founder of Social Misfits Media, I.G.'s sister company. Social Misfits works with charities and social enterprises to use social media and apps to better interact with those critical to their success.

Carlos sits on the Advisory Panel for the Guardian's Voluntary Sector Network. He is also a Trustee of Vital Regeneration (a charity working to improve the lives of Londoners living on the poorest estates) and on the Executive Committee of the NSPCC annual art-themed Gala (the 2011 and 2012 Galas raised close to £4 million).

Carlos holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and a BA from New York University. He is fluent in Spanish and father to very rambunctious twins.
