Caroline Davey

Director of Policy at Gingerbread, the national charity for single parents

Caroline is the Director of Policy, Advice & Communications at Gingerbread. Since challenging the “Bastardy Acts” in the 1920s, Gingerbread has consistently campaigned to improve the lives of all single parent families, and now provides advice and practical support – as well as a strong campaigning voice – for the 1.9 million single parent families in the UK today. Caroline has worked for over a decade on social policy in the fields of poverty and social justice, variously working on issues including housing and homelessness at Shelter, sexual health at fpa, and childcare at Daycare Trust. Myth-busting on issues that are controversial, unpopular or plain misunderstood a speciality.
