Caroline Elliot

Caroline Elliot is the informal economy programmes officer at War on Want. She works with four social movements in South Africa that fight for their rights to housing and basic public services. From Caroline’s formative years, growing up in Zimbabwe among anti-apartheid activists ousted by the regime, she has been keenly aware of the South African struggle for equality. This was strengthened by her disheartening university years in the new South Africa, where little had changed. From these beginnings, she has continued to work and lobby for social justice and equality in South Africa, both within Africa and Britain.
