Policy Director, Focus on Labour Exploitation (FLEX)

Caroline is Policy Director and co-founder of Focus on Labour Exploitation (FLEX). FLEX promotes responses to labour exploitation that prioritise the needs and voice of the victims and their human rights through research, awareness raising and targeted advocacy. Caroline is also a founder and Editorial Board member of the Anti-Trafficking Review, a peer-reviewed journal which provides a forum for debate on human trafficking policy and practice. She previously led the advocacy work of the Global Alliance against Traffic in Women, an international network of anti-trafficking organisations. Prior to this Caroline worked as senior political adviser in the UK parliament and for the United Nations, in the Afghan parliament. She holds a Masters in Development Studies with Distinction from the Institute of Development Studies, UK.
