Mother, cellist, and cross-stitcher of profanities. Styling out mental illness since 2013.. well, sometimes...

I am married with one daughter, one labradoodle and two step-children. I was diagnosed with post-natal depression when my daughter was six months old. Not wanting to sit quietly with the black dog, I started volunteering with a charity that helped families who were dealing with the various forms of perinatal mental illness. I worked hard and I cared harder. I got mouthier, harassing politicians, getting answers to questions nobody had the strength to ask. I even challenged David Cameron live on Question Time. I did a little work with the charity Mind. I ran the London Marathon. Now I'm here, writing for you.
