Claire is co-founder of Okapi Home, an African inspired homeware and gift company.

Claire is co-founder of Okapi Home, MD of The Social Investment Consultancy and Ten Years’ Time and an interiors addict and small business enthusiast.

With a family full of entrepreneurs, having only worked for small businesses and a tendency to buy domain names for new ideas on a weekly basis, it was only a matter of time before Claire started her own enterprise.

Okapi Home launched in November 2015 to bring the incredible craftsmanship, materials and artistry of the artisans Claire and her brother Rob had some across on their travels to the UK and international markets. Sourcing furniture, home furnishings and gifts from across East and Southern Africa, Okapi Home (named after the elusive Okapi hiding in the forests of the DRC) prides itself on finding talented small scale entrepreneurs and groups and providing them with a platform to showcase their products and stories to customers globally.

Her interest in small business, the power of economic development and education comes from her background working with charities, social enterprises, businesses and philanthropists to maximise their social impact.
