Clare Conville

Literary agent, author and Director of the Voewood Festival

Listed by the Observer as one of 'our top 50 players in the world of books', Clare previously worked as an editor at Random House, before co-founding Conville & Walsh in 2000.

In 2011 she set up the Voewood Festival near Holt in North Norfolk with rare book dealer Simon Finch. Billed as the arts garden party of the year the festival returns this year, taking place in the arts and crafts house and grade 1 listed gardens over the August bank holiday (24-27th) this year.
Highlights include talks from Diana Athill, Giles Coren, SJ Watson and DBC Pierre, fantastic evening musical sets from Billy Bragg, British Sea Power and Brit-nominee Beth Rowley and delicious food and drink from Brindisa Tapas and Hendrick's Gin.
