Dee Doocey

Chair of the London Assembly's Economy, Culture and Sport Committee

Dee Doocey has been an elected member of the London Assembly since 2004 and was Chair of the Assembly in 2010-11.

For six years, Dee chaired the Assembly’s Economy, Culture and Sport Committee (the lead committee for scrutinising the London 2012 Games).

Dee was a member of the Metropolitan Police Authority from 2005 until January 2012 when it was abolished to make way for the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime.

Dee chaired the MPA’s Finance and Resources Committee and the Olympic and Paralympic sub-committee and is currently representing the Mayor on the Home Office Olympic Security Board.

In November 2010, Dee was awarded a life peerage as Baroness Doocey, and sits on the Liberal Democrat benches in the House of Lords.
