Dr Jas Gill

Of all the accusations made against me, only these are true: Trainee Psychiatrist in London, pseudo-writer, cinephile.

A 28 year old immigrant Trainee Psychiatrist working in London. I spent the first seven years of my life in a rural village in North West India (which was 10km away from the nearest town, which itself was 1hr away from the nearest major city), before moving to the UK.

After accidentally stumbling into Kings College London Medical School, I decided to overstay my welcome and left with a Medical Degree (MBBS) and a BSc Hons in Physiology to go along with my MA in Religion & Philosophy obtained from the World Sikh University, London.

I recently penned an essay which won the Creative Writing Prize at the London School of Psychiatrists Annual Conference.

When not working as a Trainee Psychiatrist in London, I spend most of my day thinking about writing and a small part of the night actually doing so. Topics of interest include the relationship of mental health with the creative arts, philosophy, politics, technology.

Currently writing screenplays for a series of short films as well as a novella which combines Cinderella and Psychosis.
